I'm delighted to invite you to my upcoming art exhibition which will take place from the 24th of June to the 7th of JULY 2023, at Doneraile Court,  Doneraile Estate & Demesne, Doneraile, Co. Cork, P51 XR66.

This collection of contemporary fine art collages will be exhibited in The Drawing Room. 

ARTIST’S STATEMENT:

‘The Doneraile Court Collection’ is an exhibition of new contemporary collages from Cork artist Celina Buckley. 

This exhibition honours the intricate tapestry of Doneraile Demesne—a tapestry woven by the hands of the St. Leger family and carefully maintained by the dedicated efforts of the Office of Public Works (OPW) and the local community. It invites conversation, sparks nostalgia, and fosters a sense of unity and belonging, weaving together the threads of Doneraile’s past, present and future.

Buckley’s art is created through the medium of collage. Using print-making techniques she learned at Cambridge School of Art; her collage papers are prepared using oil-based etching inks, an etching press and by mono-printing various textures onto the surfaces. All of these fine art collages were created on location from observation.
